About Lekan
Lekan is a consistent performer who has the ability to multi-task on assignments whilst delivering on set targets. He had previously worked with the law firm of SPA Ajibade & Co, a leading corporate and commercial law firm in Nigeria. He was a key member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution, as well as the Intellectual Property departments of the firm, and was able to seamlessly engage in transactions that were undertaken by the Corporate Finance & Capital Markets and Real Estate departments of the firm. He also worked briefly in a Trustee Company where he was exposed to capital market transactions dealing with corporate & States bond issues, as well as syndicated lending transactions.
He has advised and represented local and foreign individual and corporate clients in employment related issues, real estate transactions, mobile payment services, record licensing, debt recoveries, syndicated & multi-facility lending transactions, issuance of corporate and public bonds, intellectual property claims, amongst others, with focus on practical business solutions.
Lekan was a member of a team of UK, US and Nigerian law firms that pursued multimillion dollars claims (arguably the largest claim in fatal accidents cases in Nigeria) on behalf of several families, against a local airline operator and the estate of its pilot whose airline crashed in Lagos in 2012.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and has attended several professional trainings programmes and conferences. Lekan has also written a number of articles, some of which have been published by LexisNexis, Lexology and Mondaq:
